All said and done, my feeling is that switching over from fossil fuel fired automobile for a person should make some economical sense too.
I am of age 81, an Indian living in India and am now retired. I use a Petrol driven car mainly for grocery shopping and some times visiting near by friends.
I don’t find buying an EV to be making economic sense.
Perhaps similar may be case with many who don’t travel a break-even distance daily so as to justify buying an EV.
