Your reaction on seeing India is a result of living in a country that has a history of just about 246 years. The white skinned invaders from Europe killed the original inhabitants of the land you call USA.
As a result you are used to ARTIFICIALLY created cities.
Indian civilisation is no lesser than about 7,000 years old. A couple of millennia back India was a prosperous and coveted land. As a result it was invaded innumerable times. Therefore what you see in India is a mixture of large number of faiths and races. Go to northern most Kashmir you will find people of very beautiful skin colour - much more likeable than that of white Americans.
It is really bad that we Indians are not taking population control as seriously as it needs to be taken. It’s because of unsustainable population that most visitors find India filthy. I hope and wish that our people get their brains right and control population. If this happens, India would look much more beautiful than cubical USA.
