Thanks Ella Alderson for the highly scientifically analysed article about the Idea of God. I am in India and my age is 80+. My parents were Hindu hence I am also supposed to be a Hindu. But the fact is that I have no blind faith although like you I am not an atheiest. Before I write any more I would like to mention that in reality there is nothing like "Hindu" Religion and even the word "Hindu" has come into existance only when invaders from North-west started to invade the land (which is now considered to be India) that they had no name for but for reaching they had to cross the river Sindhu (in English - Indus) and since their language had no pronounciation like "S" and in place of "S" they use "H", they called the river "Hindu" rather than "Sindhu" and the people who lived in the land that was reachable after crossing the river "Hindu" they called Hindu People and the practices they followed were considered by the invaders as "Hindu Religion" whereas there was nothing like "Hindu Religion".

The practices the people who lived in the land reachable from North-west after crossing the river "Hindu" was "Sanatana Dharma". The word "Sanatana" is a Sanskrit word and it means

Sanatana means 'eternal'. i.e., combination of Aadi (past), Vartaman (present), Bhavishya (future) and Bahirkaala (transcending the three Kaalas). Something that is eternal, would imply that it was there, it is there and, it will be there: it has no beginning or end. Sanatana Dharma is verily that. It is not a manmade "religion". We have four Vedas as our most ancient acriptures and in them there is no concept of idol worship which we "Hindus" practice today and that is why I personally don't believe in temples and statues. My purpose is not to vouch for either "Hindu" Religion or "Sanatana Dharma". Rather I just felt like bringing to light a fact that may not be known to many and to add to what you have said - "The Idea of God Has a Flaw".
